Originally from the Washington D.C. area, I attended the University of South Carolina, and moved to Colorado upon graduation. It did not take long for the “granola effect” to take hold, and I began to understand the correlation between what I ate, how active I was, and how I felt. After 10 years of that Rocky Mountain air, my fiance (now husband) and I wanted to settle down closer to family and the water, and Charleston had always held a special place in our hearts. If we were going to leave our weekly hiking trails and skiing towns, we knew Charleston was where we wanted to be.
We moved to Charleston in early 2017, married in April, and I began to evaluate what I could do in my new city to meet new people, pursue my passions, and enjoy what I loved. After several episodes of “Chef’s Table”, I thought of how my dream job has always been to be a food travel critic. If I could travel the world, eat the best restaurants, and then write about-what a dream that would be! I finally thought “why not just do it, in your own foodie city”. Thus, here I am. I chose to begin a blog on all things food, dining, and shopping related, and hope you enjoy reading it at least half as much as I am enjoying writing it.
